This is another
project that I had the pleasure of doing while at Klahm's.
The frame was fabricated by associate Stan Light, I did all
the decorative fill. As the image below shows.........the
design came from one of the classic design books. This same
design was the inspiration for another set of double doors
that Stan and I had the extreme honor and pleasure of making
for Jack Klahm's private residence. Jack's set of doors is
forged steel. Photos of which I'll be adding in the near
future.
This set of doors is forged and fabricated aluminum. With
brass accents. All the gold painted leaves are custom
aluminum castings that are signature elements in a lot of
Klahm work. They were cast by John Allen of Consolidated
Castings in Jacksonville, FL .
